Elder College Course on Justice Offered in the Cowichan Valley!!

Has justice been much on your mind in the last weeks and months? Feel like talking about it? If so we have good news for you …

On March 19, at 5:30 pm, MIEC begins its first ever course at the Duncan Library, for whose invaluable support and assistance we are extremely grateful. The course will meet once weekly until May 7.

“JUSTICE: Exploring its Global Development,” taught by Harold Rosen, asks the questions: How have humanity's views of Justice evolved through the ages? Are there signs of progress? How are Justice and religious civilizations related? Are the core principles of Justice rational rules and beneficial outcomes, or should they also cultivate character toward a flourishing society? These questions will be explored in an informal lecture-discussion format.

Harold Rosen is a community interfaith educator with Master's degrees in philosophy, education and religion; has taught over 200 community courses during the last 25 years; and is one of our most engaging and inspiring instructors.

All adults are welcome, and especially those over fifty. To register, members should follow the usual procedure; if you are not yet a member, please call (250) 797-9055 for assistance.
